Is there a better place to plunge into European History and Gastronomy than Normandy?
If you are a long time adept or just a willing beginner - there is a story suited to any taste and curiosity.
Tailor-made tours for adults or children, individuals or groups, for a one-off visit or a multi-day program.

THE KEYS TO THE MIDDLE AGES

In the span of three centuries, from 1050 to 1350,  Europe has built almost all the churches and cathedrals that we admire today.  France alone has extracted more million tons of stone than Ancient Egypt in all its history. What are the causes of such astonishing outburst of creativity and willpower? The answer to this question is spelled all over these edifices, but in a language that we seem to have forgotten. This tour of the Bayeux Cathedral or the Mont Saint Michel Abbey will give you the universal keys to understand any other similar European monument.

If historical dates and names look like a dense forest to you - do not worry - we will transform it into a neatly arranged garden.
All ages and backgrounds.

Mont Saint Michel, 4 hours 350€

THE BOY WHO SURVIVED

The child who would later become William the Conqueror lost his father at the age of nine. Not only did this boy manage to survive numerous assassination attempts and reclaim his father's throne, but he also conquered England, becoming a pivotal historical figure in Medieval Europe.

His bloodline continues within the England's Royal Family till today.

We will talk about the Vikings, the astounding life of their descendant, his tempestuous character, his magnificent edifices, his Great Conquest, but also about Mathilda -  his greatest love that surpassed it all ...

TASTE OF NORMANDY

Once upon a time I have tasted my first true Camembert and first true Norman cider, and ever since I have become an ardent ambassador of traditional Norman gastronomy. It is not always easy to identify the authentic (best!) products, and this tour is devoted exactly  to that!

All my spare time, I visit farmers and fishermen and work at their side to get first hand knowledge of their art. I feel honored to be able to open the doors of small authentic cheese, oyster and apple farms to the visitors from all over the world.

What would you like to taste? Make your choice -  there are 4 kinds of famous Normandy cheeses, and a dozen of "lesser" ones. The sea is plentiful with the Blue Lobster, crabs, scallops, fish, mussels  and at least 5 distinct types of oysters. The local apples and pears are transformed into at least 15 different drinks from refreshing ciders to soothing rich calvados...
