I arrived in Normandy more than a decade ago and fell so deeply in love with the region and its history that I returned to university, earned two specialized diplomas, and became a professional guide. Essentially, I turned a passion into my profession:)

BYZANTINE BACKGROUND

Academic studies are fundamental for any guide, but I aim to add an additional dimension to my visits. As a Byzantine Orthodox Christian and an apprentice iconographer, I draw on a living tradition that has preserved much of the symbolic vocabulary since the Middle Ages. Colour codes, compositional rules, and theological shorthand carved into medieval churches are familiar to me not only through study, but through practice.​
